Feeling a little devilish while enjoying The 1975 at Music Midtown last weekend.

Welcome to my Devilish Era.

Just in time for Spooky Season, right?

To elaborate, what I mean by “devilish” is all the dark sides. All of these secret, suppressed, dark parts of me that—in secret—feel oozingly good.

Perhaps you could call the feeling “guilty pleasure”. To me, it’s comparable to squeezing putty or slime in your hands, listening to ASMR or even watching those satisfying videos of someone making perfect slices of an object or crumbling hydrophobic materials over a bowl of water.

No, no one has to tell anyone. No one has to reveal it to the universe, especially the things that we are told we should be ashamed of or that make us imperfect humans.

But recognizing our flaws and allowing ourselves to love and accept them opens up new doors. It opens up an entire new space to what it means to love ourselves; every single part.
